Dash of Courage: Fire & Ice Rule

Iceland is known as "The Land of Fire & Ice"

My favorite part of visiting: The Elf School of Iceland. Yep, it's real.
A genius professor of folklore named Magnus was tired of his day job at the local university and decided he could do better. His solution: Create "Elf School" - A short course to teach tourists in a day about all things elves and give them a Diploma to stand out on LinkedIn.

The man is a Genius.
Certified Elf Instructor...say less.

According to Magnus - 54% of the Icelandic nation believes in Elves (hidden people that are out there helping us). I'm a sucker for a good story. A while back, myself and three friends (Josh, Matt, & Parker) headed to Iceland for learning and LinkedIn glory.

Along with tales of folklore he shared his philosophy of leadership:
The Iceland Fire & Ice Rule

In Iceland, Volcanoes (fire) and Glaciers (ice) coexist on the same island. It makes it unique, unexpected, and a must see. Magnus believes the same thing applies to leadership and bold living.

Fire in your heart - the passion, courage, and relentless drive to chase what matters most.

Ice in your veins - the calm, focus, and clarity to keep moving forward when fear, chaos, or pressure threaten to overwhelm you.

When you combine both, you ignite extraordinary results. Too much fire, and you burn out. Too much ice, and nothing moves. But together? You lead with unstoppable courage and unshakeable control

Dash of Courage:
Shift the Spotlight. You want more fire in your heart and ice in your veins? The fastest way to do that is help someone else. This week reach out to one person that may be struggling - a teammate, friend, or even a stranger. Let your passion and courage help light their way (fire). And when you do, notice what happens. Your mind quiets. You stop overthinking. You create calm in the chaos for someone you care about (ice). It's a reminder of the Power of Fire and Ice from a friend in Iceland.

As Truett Cathy once said: "How do you know someone needs encouragement?....
They're breathing.

Courage over Comfort,
