Dash of Courage: For What It's Worth

It's 6:00am in Malta. I have a 6:00pm dinner in Atlanta.
One journey was to celebrate a friend's accomplishment.
One is for a speech with a potential new client.
Both could have been skipped or I could have made an excuse.
Both are a choice.

I think about choice a lot. Life is a series of Choices.

How can we choose the Courageous Yes, rather than the Safer No.
The answer: It's about the rules we choose about the life we want.
The paradox: There are no rules.

When I get stuck, stalled, or struggle - I go back and re-read the last page of my book “10 Seconds of Insane Courage.” It's a quote from Eric Roth. He wrote the screenplay for The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons

It's helped me. It may help you.

"For What It's Worth"
For what it's worth, it's never too late...
To be whoever you want to be.
There's no time limit,
Stop whenever you want.
You can change or stay the same
There are no rules to this thing
We can make the best or the worst of it.
I hope you make the best of it
And I hope you see things that startle you
I hope you feel things you never felt before.
I hope you meet people with a different point of view.
I hope you live a life you're proud of
And if you find that you're not,
I hope you have the courage to start all over again.

Dash of CourageWe create the rules for the life we wantHave the courage to re-write the rules if you ever get stuck. Because we all deserve to live a life we're proud of. Even if it means you get a little less sleep to find a little more joy!

Courage over Comfort,
Garrett
